How Do You become a member?
Please note that membership in a Rotary club is by invitation only. Often, a person being considered for membership is invited by a club member, or sponsor, to attend one or more club meetings to learn more about Rotary. In this case, the sponsor submits the candidate's name to the Clubs Board for approval.
How much does it cost?
Rotary dues are collected quarterly. You will receive a bill from the Crookston Rotary Club treasurer, four times a year. Here is a breakdown of what those dues pay for:
Annual Membership Fee of $200
International Dues- $14.00
District Dues- $10.25
Magazine- $3
Insurance- $0.80
World Community Service- $3.75
District Youth Exchange- $2.50
P.E.T.S. Training- $1.50
Council on Legislation- $0.38
At $50 a quarter, we have $13.82 per member to use for expenses such as flags, new member packets, lunches for guests, promotional materials, etc.
Do I have to attend every meeting?
Members are encouraged to attend meetings on a regular basis as interaction at meetings is an important way to stay up to date on club projects and to interact/network with other members.
However it is understood that members have other family and work commitments and attendance at every meeting may not be possible.
